Who is Healthy Mothers Healthy Babies?
We are here every step of the way for you and your family.
Before, during, and after pregnancy.
Healthy Mothers Healthy Babies Coalition of Hawaii (HMHB) was founded in 1992 and is a local nonprofit organization dedicated to improving Hawaii’s maternal, child and family health through collaborative efforts in public education, advocacy and partner development. HMHB believes in a child’s right to be born healthy and raised in a safe and nurturing environment. We strive to provide equal access to quality health care; eliminate health disparities; cultural competence and respect for diversity; and educate families to make healthy choices. HMHB’s target population is socially high-risk pregnant and birthing people and newborns/infants with a focus on black, Native Hawaiian, indigenous, compact of free association (COFA) migrants and other people of color.
Meet Your Providers
The Mana Mama Telehealth line will bridge the gap between geographical and socioeconomic divides addressing disparities and increasing access to prenatal and postpartum care along with providing breastfeeding support. The telehealth line will nurture all of Hawaii’s pregnant people and new parents. As a resource, the line will serve as access to care across the state 24 hours a day. Mothers in Hawai’i have voiced their concerns and we have responded with the development of the 24-hr Mana Mama Telehealth Line. Our telehealth platform provides strength by initiating virtual support that has the flexibility and convenience of home-based support, expanded communication avenues, and safety from public exposure.
