At Healthy Mothers Healthy Babies we aim to support individuals and families in managing and improving their mental health and emotional well-being. Mental health and counseling sessions are offered as individual sessions, family sessions, and group sessions.
Healthy Mothers Healthy Babies Goal: We aim to support individuals and families through mental health counseling to improve your mental well-being and equip you with the tools you need to manage life's challenges. Mental health counseling is a collaborative process, so you and your counselor will work together to establish specific goals that are tailored to your unique needs.
Most new parents experience postpartum “baby blues” after childbirth, which commonly include mood swings, crying spells, anxiety and difficulty sleeping. Baby blues typically begin within 2-3 days after delivery, and may last for up to two weeks. But for at least 20% of new moms, a more severe, long-lasting form of depression (known as postpartum depression, or PPD) can occur. It’s not a character flaw or a weakness. Sometimes it’s simply a complication of giving birth. Prompt treatment can help you manage your symptoms and help you bond with your baby.
