Adolescent Health

Minors age 14-17 who is not under the care, supervision, or control of a parent, custodian, or legal guardian may consent to health services such as standard injections, screening, counseling, immunizations, medication, and treatment of illnesses and medical conditions provided by a licensed health care practitioners in an outpatient setting.    However, a minor cannot consent to surgery.  

 The Family Education Training Center of Hawaii is an affiliate of the Family Education Centers of Hawaii.  The Family Education Training Center provides classes geared towards adolescent.  Teens will learn communication and cooperation skills, conflict resolution, and more.  For more information please call 956-2248, email inquiry@efetch.org or visit http://efetch.org.
