Maui Program Coordinator

The program coordinator is responsible for supporting clinical and social service activities by performing various duties related to planning, scheduling, service provision, and more. This position also performs administrative duties such as coordinating the care for clients, and acting as a liaison between clients, families, HMHB staff, and partners.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Coordinate services and service delivery strategy in accordance with grant and funder requirements and agency resources, policies, and protocols
• Answers phone calls and inquiries, and connects clients to appropriate services
• Responsible for setting up HMHB’s new Maui office located in Wailuku and coordinating Maui schedules for outreach activities and services for clients
• Supports HMHB’s Maui relief and recovery efforts 
• Establishes and maintains liaisons with other agencies, and represents HMHB on appropriate community and public committees and councils
• Use computer software to schedule clients, coordinate follow-up appointments, and refer clients to resources as needed
• Works to create efficient systems and workflows within the organization
• Support with keeping track of all program supplies, orders needed supplies or works with in-kind partners to receive and distribute supplies
• Attends organization meetings and stays up to date on all initiatives related to HMHB
• Collects and inputs client data into program enrollment software
• Meet with, and follows up with, clients to ensure their needs are being met and help resolve any issues or complaints that arise
• Completes special projects as assigned
• Performing other duties as assigned; may include occasional weekend hours

QUALIFICATIONS 
Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a non-profit/related position.
Candidate must be located on Maui and be willing to travel between Wailuku and West Maui. 
Candidate must possess and maintain a current, valid driver’s license. 
Highly organized with attention to detail; patience; ability to work independently and coordinate multiple, diverse projects, set realistic deadlines, and manage a timeline.
Flexible; able to change tasks and priorities as necessary.
Experience working in a nonprofit organization and/or the health sector a plus.
Physical Demands: Involves traveling by car, train or plane to meetings trainings; involves sustained periods of computer work; involves significant phone and web-based discussion; involves lifting and carrying boxes.
Equipment Used: Computer, printer, company vehicle, telephone, copier, fax, familiarity working with common software programs and database systems. 
Salary: Range of $40,000 to $55,000 annually.
